Why I Chose Full Gospel

Full of Joy and Faith in the Holy Spirit

Elder Inpyoung Yang
The former president of Pusan High Court

Why Full Gospel? Elder In-Pyoung Yang, former president of Pusan High Court says, " I like the active, positive, vision of faith. The profound depth from the words of wisdom and the blessing of the Holy Spirit which warm my heart are very fascinating." Elder Yang worked as a jurist for 31 years, retiring in July of this year, and is proud of Yoido Full Gospel Church.

Elder Yang was influenced by his grandmother, (the late senior deaconess Yeon-Sim Cho), and began to attend Yoido Full Gospel Church in 1971. He says that his Full Gospel beliefs gave him the faith to receive salvation and the joy of the Lord. Though he was raised in a Christian family, he was inactive and an introvert. However, he changed as he listened to Pastor David Yonggi Cho's profound and energetic messages of hope. He became active and positive, and meeting people became a joy to him. He began to have a wider circle of acquaintances.

Elder Yang has been living a life of faith, giving more than 20 years of his life to God since he experienced God's changes in his life. Sixteen years ago he founded a free legal information center, gathered lawyers, and worked there. His faith grew as he experienced the joy of giving. He was appointed as an elder on June 10, 1979. He says that it always brings him new joy to go to church with his wife every week.

Elder Yang graduated from Seoul High School and from the Seoul National University law department. He was appointed a judicial officer in the second judicial examination and has successfully held various posts such as the president of the Chuncheon district court and Daejeon district court. Everywhere he goes he leads a missionary movement. In Pusan he founded the Pusan Missionary Movement Post along with his colleague lawyer Young-Tae Jeon. In recognition of his distinguished service, in 1999 he was awarded the first honorary citizenship from the mayor of Pusan.

As fruit of his faith, which is the joy of giving according to his Full Gospel belief, in August 1999 he opened Logos, a law firm, along with 12 other Christian lawyers. It was his desire to change the negative images of lawyers and create positive images and consistency in their religious and actual lives. His goal for Logos (the Christian law firm) is to provide free services to those who are too poor to afford legal services. He says, "We will make Logos a missions work and service, returning 10% of its profit back into our society."
