The Hands of Continuous Support

"Hallelujah! Bless you in the name of the Lord. I just called to let you know that I want to be a help to Dr. David Yonggi Cho's ministry of world missions...¡±

We received a call from a man with a deep voice on a very hot day on August 14 in the national division of the David Cho Evangelistic Mission (DCEM) office. An anonymous gentleman told one of our DCEM staff, ¡°I decided to call your office after reading the first issue of the DCEM magazine which I obtained at YFGC. I was so moved when I came across the page that featured Dr. Cho's crusades in Zambia and Gabon. I was really impressed by Dr. Cho's crusades that brought the Good News and the latter rain of the Holy Spirit to people in Africa who are starving and dying of AIDS. Although I have never been interested in the ministry of world missions, having read the article about Dr. Cho's crusades held in Africa, I changed my mind and decided to be more open to world missions.¡± He added that he wanted to help DCEM by giving financial support and was going to make a donation.

DCEM was established on March 28, 2000 in order to continue the Great Commission of the Lord: "You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." For DCEM, there have been supporting hands of many like this gentleman. Many financial pledges have been made to DCEM by a wide variety of people including the Men's Fellowship of YFGC, Rev. Jerry McCamey, senior pastor of Calvary Temple and his congregation in Indianapolis, and from Elder Gyu Tae Park in Chicago. We believe that through DCEM and with the help of the DCEM partners ranging from children to the elderly, miracles of salvation will continue to take place, the kingdom of God will be extended on earth, and the gates of heaven will be wide open to pour out heavenly blessings upon His people.
