He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed
for our iniquities; (Isaiah 53 : 5)
An elder and his wife visited my office prior to my departure
for the Third Triennial World Assemblies of God Fellowship
meetings in Indianapolis, Indiana in August 2000, and said
that he wanted to say goodbye. When I asked where he was
going, he replied, "To heaven." "No kidding," I said. And
he told his bad news. In addition to his liver cancer, he
was afflicted with lung cancer. He was told he could not
live for more than a month, so he came to say goodbye before
I left for the United States in August.
I prayed for him because the door to the prison of death
was opened 2000 years ago. I prayed that his sickness would
go away. When I came back from Indianapolis, the couple
again came to greet me. He was told at the hospital that
there was no more trace of cancer. Jesus personally opened
the prison door of death and carried away his sickness!
Hallelujah!!
