Only people who have a holy dream will be
a success for God.
This was Dr. Cho's sermon emphasis for the graduation service
at Northwest College in Seattle.
"The powerful Holy Spirit is the same yesterday, today
and forever. It was the Holy Spirit who healed me when I almost
died from tuberculosis. It was the Holy Spirit who made our
church grow to have the largest membership in the world. The
Holy Spirit can manifest the same power in your life."
Dr. Cho vividly shared testimonies with the young people
and saints in Seattle how the power of the Holy Spirit has
changed people and societies. Dr. Cho preached to the graduates
that the Holy Spirit will help them realize their dreams and
goals that are established clearly, based on God's Word, and
are moving forward. He said that successful people were only
the people who had a burning hope in their heart even though
there were many young graduates. He urged them, "Conceive
the holy desire based on God's Word."
All those who attended the graduation were moved by Dr. Cho's
message and gave him a standing ovation.
Dr. Don Argue, president of Northwest College thanked Dr.
Cho for his message to the graduates and exhorted them to
have a holy desire to change the world as Dr. Cho had challenged
them.
Northwest College was founded by the Northwest District Council
of the Assemblies of God and opened to students on October
1, 1934. The mission of Northwest College is to provide, in
a distinctly evangelical Christian environment, quality education
to prepare students for service and leadership. There are
6,600 including the 257 in this year's graduating class.
On Sunday morning May 5, Dr. Cho preached at City Church
where Rev. Wendell Smith is the senior pastor. Dr. Cho emphasized
that only Jesus can give genuine meaning to today's people
living in despair, pain, and fear. People must get rid of
negative thinking and then trust only in Jesus who died on
the Cross and shed His blood for us. He urged that for Jesus
to be the master of our lives we have to trust Him and pray
everyday. When Dr. Cho shared several miracles he had experienced
during his 45 years of his pastoring, the congregation stood
and clapped.
On Sunday evening May 5, Dr. Cho preached at Christian Faith
Center in Seattle. On May 6, he was the keynote speaker for
the Global Strategy Conference held at City Church.
