The Word of God
Hebrews 4:12 ~ 4:13

The Bible states that "The Word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword." But for a long time now, we have been treating the Word of God as if it were only a regular book, unaware of its power to dramatically change our lives.

1. The creative ability of the Word
: The Word itself is spirit and life, thus God uses the Word to transform and fix the third dimensional physical world and make it new
- Since the spiritual is above the physical, if the Word is proclaimed, the third dimensional physical world must also be changed and even removed (Genesis 1:2; Psalm 33:9, 147:15-18)

2. The power of the Word
1) It dwells in our hearts and controls the environment - In Egypt, the red sea was divided
(Exodus 14:13-14, 15-16, 21-22)
2) It makes a dream into a new creative reality
3) It is clothed with faith and brings about miracles
4) It is a messenger that accomplishes the will of God
5) The Word is the power which gives us life and destroys the work of Satan (Romans 1:16-17)

3. The bread of life
: It is the honey of life which transforms and matures a person to become a man of God
- Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God (Matthew 4:1-4)

4. The weapon that allows us to defeat our enemies
1) The Word is light and destroys the darkness of Satan (Psalm 119:105, 23:4-5, 91:1-6)
2) Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ (Romans 10:17)
- It makes every Word of life active (Romans 10:10; Joshua 1:8)

The Word is an immeasurable treasure. Though we lose everything, if we keep the Word close to our hearts, the Word becomes our hope and victory.
