Pastor Cho's Sermon Outline - Yoido Full Gospel Church - Seoul, Korea
God Works for the Good in All Things
Romans 8:28 ~ 8:29

2015-09-06

In a world where sins abound, people live, struggling in the mire of sorrow and suffering. As people live their lives based on human-centrism that goes against God, they become slaves to greed and are waging an endless war to possess more things. However, the believers of God live, believing in love and sovereignty of God who works for the good in all things.

1. God causes everything to work together for the good for us
1) If we move forward believing in Jesus, things work for the good no matter what we face. (Rom. 8:28)
2) Jesus destroyed sin and curse, brings the works of change through the five-fold Gospel and three-fold blessing, and changes our circumstances through the fourth dimensional spirituality. As a result, anything that encounters the cross and the fourth dimensional spirituality will all be broken and changed to work for the good.

2. We who God foreknew
1) God helps us to know and resemble Jesus.(Rom. 8:29)
2) Those God predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified; he also glorified (Rom. 8:30)
3) All things that happen in this world are instruments that are used to fulfill the will of God. Also, everything works together for the good for us who God foreknew. (Psalm 103:19)

3. Absolute sovereignty of God
1) If God is for us, who can be against us? (Rom. 8:31)
2) How will he who gave up his own Son not graciously give us all things? (Rom. 8:32)
3) Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? (Rom. 8:33)
4) It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? (Rom. 8:34)
5) Jesus who has been resurrected is praying redemptive prayer at the right hand of the throne of God. (1 John 2:1)

4. Who can separate us from the love of Christ?
1) God loves us that he gave his Son to be crucified.
2) Therefore, neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any power, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.(Rom. 8:35~39)

God has saved us by infinite love and will. Also, God is helping us to grow to resemble Jesus under his absolute love and sovereignty. To this end, God is making all things that happen in our lives to work together for the good. No one and nothing else in this world can destroy God's love and will for us.

For everything in the world--the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does--comes not from the Father but from the world.
