The Prayer to Be Answered
Matthew 7:7 ~ 7:11

2017-12-24

Jesus said, "Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!" (Matt. 7:9~11) Our Father God listens to His children's prayers and wants to answer them. In order to have our prayers answered, we need passion and patience.

1. Pray with the goal
1) Jesus taught about prayer through a parable. A widow went to a judge to receive justice. The judge neither feared God nor cared about men. But, he decided to grant justice to the widow because of her persistent plea. (Luke 18:1~5)
2) We must believe in our Father God and pray with clear goals. (Mark 10:51)

2. Repent your sins before God
1) Sin is an obstacle that separates us from God. Therefore, if we have sins in our hearts and life, God will not listen to our prayers. (Ps. 66:18)
2) If we repent of our sins sincerely, God cleanses us. (1 John 1:9)

3. Envision your dream on your mind
1) If we prepare a bag called a dream, God fills it with answers. (Ps. 81:10)
2) Have dreams that are God's will in your heart and fervently pray. (1 John 5:15)

4. Go with faith
1) We must invite our good God who always takes care of us deep into our hearts. (Heb. 11:6)
2) We must believe that God calls things that are not as though they were. (Rom. 4:17~18)
3) God listens to our mouth confession. Therefore, if we have bold faith and declare that faith with our mouths, God grants miracles. (Num. 14:28)

Conclusion
We should not give up even if answers to our prayers come late. If we believe in God who loves us and pray with patience to the end, God brings the works of changes and creation. God is pleased with patient prayers, prayers that work for the good, and fasting prayers that follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit. He gives us amazing gifts called answers. Commit big and small problems in life to God by praying. Then, we can enjoy peace that is not shaken no matter what kind of situations we face.

  • Daily Bible
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

    1 Corinthians  10:13
