The Forceful Will Take the Kingdom of Heaven
Joshua 1:2 ~ 1:9

2007-01-07

Introduction : The devil and his followers always resist us in the world in which we live. They constantly try to prevent us from enjoying the grace and blessings God has given to us, so we are engaged in spiritual warfare throughout our lives. The Lord says that we must invade and take the kingdom of heaven given to us in order to possess it.

1. Israel and the land of Canaan
    1) The attitude in our heart to invade
        (1) Remember the promise of God    (Jos 1:3-4)
        (2) Believe that God is with you    (Jos 1:5)
        (3) Be strong and courageous    (Jos 1:6-7)
        (4) Obey the Word of God    (Jos 1:7-8)
The result    (Jos 1:9, Dt 31:8)

2. Our Canaan
    1) Jesus´ redemption on the Cross
        (1) The forgiveness of sin    (Eph 1:7, Ro 3:24)
        (2) Sanctification    (Heb 10:10, 1Co 6:11, Eph 5:26)
        (3) Healing    (1Pe 2:24-25)
        (4) Blessing    (Gal 3:13-14)
        (5) The kingdom of heaven    (2Co 5:1)
    2) Invade and take
        (1) Do not be afraid of enemies    (Mt 11:12, Lk 10:19)
        (2) Know yourself    (1Pe 2:9)
        (3) Do not shrink back with a negative mind    (Mk 9:23, Php 4:13, Heb 10:38)

3. The way of possession
    1) Realize the Word of promise    (Heb 6:14, Ro 8:32)
    2) Believe and pray    (Mk 11:24, Jn 15:7))
    3) Confess with your mouth - it is with your heart that you believe and are justified,
and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved    (Mk 11:23, Pr 18:21)
    4) Persevere - the devil tests our perseverance    (Heb 10:35-36, Jas 1:12)
    5) Dream that you will win    (Jn 6:33, 1Jn 4:4, Eph 3:20)

Conclusion : There is no successful Christian life without spiritual warfare. We must always arm ourselves, be filled with the Holy Spirit and the Word, and become powerful warriors.
