Pastor Cho's Sermon Outline - Yoido Full Gospel Church - Seoul, Korea
God Who Prepares
1 Corinthians 2:9

2008-12-21

"However, as it is written: ¡®No eye has seen, no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.' "

Introduction: Parents prepare everything for their baby in order for it to have a prosperous future as it grows up. They send their child to kindergarten, primary school, junior high school, high school, and university, and do their best to help prevent their child from falling behind in the competition for survival in the world. Likewise, our Father God has prepared everything for His children whom He loves.

1.Things that God prepares.

1) Before God created Adam, He prepared heaven and earth, the Garden of Eden, and all that is in them (Ge 1:1; 2:8).
2) God sent Joseph to Egypt and prepared a fruitful field in Goshen beforehand, in order to save Jacob's descendents from famine (Ge 47:4-6).
3) God prepared the land of Canaan for the Israelites (Ex 3:8).
4) God prepared salvation through Jesus Christ (Jn 3:16; Eph 2:8).
5) God prepared a place in heaven (Jn 14:1-3).

2. Preparation that transcends human imagination.

1) God prepared a path through the Red Sea (Ex 14:21-22).
2) God prepared a piece of wood to change the bitter water in Marah (Ex 15:23-25).
3) God prepared manna from heaven for 40 years for the Israelites (Ex 16:35; Ps 78:24).
4) God prepared quail (Ex 16:13-16).

3. God who prepares for us today.

1) My experience at the airport in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1974.
2) My experience on the subway train in Manhattan New York (Pr 16:9).
Philadelphia ¡æNewark¡æ I was bound for Manhattan New York and something happened when I transferred in Newark.
3) Yahweh-Jireh (Ge 22:14; 1Co 2:9; Jer 33:3).

Conclusion: When we are faced with difficulties, we should not panic, but seek help from God, and rely on Him. God foreknows everything and has already prepared solutions.
