* January 28


America Crusade with Dr. Cho - Dr. Cho led meetings at Full Gospel Nasung Church, Crystal Cathedral, and Bethesda Christian University in Los Angeles. It was a great time for the new wind of the Holy Spirit to blow on the American Church.

* February 10

Dr. Cho attended a luncheon meeting with representatives of Christendom at the President's office of the Blue House (Cheong Wa Dae) at the invitation of President Dae-jung Kim. The 100 representatives of Christendom at the meeting had a time of prayer for the unification of North and South Korea, for the prosperity of the economy, and other matters.

* February 12


Arirang TV (to introduce Korea to the world) interviewed Dr. Cho - He shared the secret of his church growth and suggestions for national reconciliation through overcoming regional conflicts in Korea. Also, he said that the new millennium would come to us with great hope if we live faithfully everyday.


 

* February 26


Establishment of "Good People World Family" (GPWF), a non-governmental organization (NGO) - it had its founding service with Dr. Cho. After the service, donations were given for North Korean defectors to the South. The GPWF was established to support the world neighbors who suffer in third world countries as well as offer help to various people in need throughout the world with the main objective of saving lost souls. The GPWF has joined the NGO to influence international society.

* March 5

A good sign for the evangelization of China - Dr. Cho's sermon was televised through GOOD TV, a cable and satellite TV station, into all areas of Taiwan.

* March 23-25


The Dubai meetings with Dr. Cho opened a new chapter for evangelizing the Middle East - they were held at a Dubai site for 45,000. It opened the gate for missions in the Middle East through the powerful working of the Holy Spirit. Many people came to listen to Dr. Cho from the Arab states. In spite of religious regulations for the meetings, the Holy Spirit moved powerfully, touching the attendees deeply with miraculous wonders and signs, and many people experienced divine healing as well as salvation.


 

* April 7


The 21st anniversary of the founding of Full Gospel Tokyo Church and the establishment of Bethesda Christian University in Japan - the Full Gospel Tokyo Church had its founding service and the opening service of Bethesda Christian University and Graduate School with Dr. Cho. Full Gospel Tokyo Church set new goals of adding 10,000 lay members and building a new church. It also determined to support Dr. Cho's vision to win 10 million Japanese to the Lord.

* April 27

Dr. Cho preached at the celebration service for the newly elected representatives from all Christian denominations who were invited to the Korea National Prayer Breakfast.

* July 30 - August 4


Sweden and Denmark Crusades with Dr. Cho- the Uppsala Crusade in Sweden was held at Living Life Church. The 7,500 seats in the church were filled, and the work of the Holy Spirit took place during the crusade and pastors' seminar. The Copenhagen Crusade was held August 3-4 at Copenhagen Christian Cultural Center Pentecostal Apostle Church in Denmark. The crusade was the biggest one in the history of Danish Christianity. It attracted much attention, and Dr. Cho was asked to do an interview with Denmark Public Broadcasting and newspaper.


 

* October 17


The largest World Mission Conference in Japan - to celebrate the 2,000 anniversary of Jesus Christ's birth, there were world mission conferences held in several places around the world. The World Mission Conference in Japan was held at Kyoto International Conference Hall for a week with famous speakers including Dr. Cho and Rev. Reinhard Bonnke, starting from the 25th. It was the first world mission conference in the history of the Japanese Church, so it was very meaningful.

* November 16-17

Canada Crusade with Dr. Cho - Dr. Cho preached in Toronto on the morning of the 16th and he led a crusade at Mississauga Gospel Church in the evenings. Dr. Cho emphasized, "Pray continually with a clear goal," and said that he would pray for Canada to be armed with the Gospel through the Holy Spirit Movement.

* December 8 - 12


India Kottayam Charismatic Blessing Crusade - it was held at the Nehru Stadium is located at Kottayam, Kerala, India and a huge crowd of people came to the crusade. The powerful healing work of the Holy Spirit appeared among many cripples, the blind, and the deaf people. The crusade was unforgettable for Indians as they came to the end of the 20th century.
